After understanding a contract extension with head coach Mike Brown earlier this offseason, the Kings introduced some further teaching information on Monday, revealing in a press launch that Jay Triano has been promoted to affiliate head coach.
Triano, who has been on Brown’s employees as an assistant since 2022, has constructed a powerful teaching résumé over the past two-plus many years. He served as a head coach in Toronto (2008-11) and Phoenix (2017-18) and had stints as an assistant with the Raptors (2002-08), Path Blazers (2012-16), Suns (2016-17), and Hornets (2018-22) earlier than arriving in Sacramento.
