Suggs’ Career Night Powers Magic 133-119 Win Over Bulls

Jalen Suggs delivered a career-high 31 points on Wednesday night, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added a season-best 24 as the Orlando Magic handled the Chicago Bulls 133-119 at the Kia Center. The win was Orlando’s fourth straight and its 10th in the last 11 games, keeping the team perfect at home this season at 9-0.

The Magic came out firing, knocking down six of their first 11 threes in the opening quarter to build a double-digit lead. Suggs set the tone with his aggressiveness, while Caldwell-Pope’s outside shooting stretched Chicago’s defense. He went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc, including back-to-back threes late in the second quarter to give Orlando a 19-point halftime cushion. Franz Wagner chipped in 21 points and six assists, and Moritz Wagner provided an energy boost off the bench.

Defensively, Orlando forced 18 turnovers, recorded eight blocks, and picked up 10 steals despite some shaky stretches. The Magic eventually built a 27-point lead before Chicago made a late push. Still, Orlando’s balance and shot-making proved too much.

Ayo Dosunmu paced the Bulls with 21 points, while Nikola Vucevic posted 19 points and 11 rebounds against his former team. Chicago welcomed Lonzo Ball back after a 15-game absence with a sprained wrist. He played 15 minutes and finished with six points.

The Magic’s 9-0 home start is their best since the 1998-99 season, with seven of those wins coming by double figures. Orlando now looks to extend its NBA Cup run Friday against the Brooklyn Nets.
