Sneaker Politics and ANTA come together for the first time to introduce the KAI 3 “Patchwork,” a new color way rooted in craftsmanship, culture, and community.
Built on the ANTA KAI 3 silhouette, the design features a mix of fabrics and textures stitched together, symbolizing how different communities can unite into something greater. The patchwork motif reflects Kyrie Irving’s connection to storytelling through design.
The shoe’s design is defined by layered artwork brought to life through detailed stitching. Lines and grooves run throughout the upper, adding both texture and dimension. A range of blue tones covers the base, contrasted by a predominantly white tongue, accented with a brown textured patch and intricate blue and red stitching.
The midsole features a wave-like texture, while a red collar lining adds a sharp pop of contrast. Altogether, the construction gives the impression of something carefully hand-stitched and crafted. Subtle layering and varied patterns create depth, allowing the shoe to stand out from more traditional performance silhouettes.
The release is paired with a community initiative, kicking off on March 20, with a court unveiling at Fahim J. Minkah Community Park, in partnership with City Council Member Lori Blair. The event includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a family-friendly field day featuring food trucks.
The “Patchwork” drops March 20 exclusively at Fahim J. Minkah Community Park from 11 AM to 2 PM CT. Remaining pairs will release on March 21 at Sneaker Politics Dallas and on the Sneaker Politics online website.
