ANTA and Kyrie Irving expand on their signature line with the KAI 3 “Calcite,” a colorway centered on confidence and enlightened energy.
Inspired by calcite, also known as a sunstone, the shoe’s design is inspired by the mineral’s properties, which are often associated with confidence and enlightened energy.
The Calcite colorway mixes various oranges with splashes of marigold and blue accents. These give the shoe a vibrant and warm energy.
The sneaker has two sun compasses, one as a gold charm on the side of the shoe and another on the back of the shoe. On the heel of the shoe sits a sundial motif, an homage to ancient sun compasses, a tool that was used to track direction with precision.
These details tie directly into Irving’s philosophy of alignment, reinforcing the connection between mindset and movement.
