Regardless of the way it initially appeared, Wellman was unhurt. Just a few seconds later, he was seen yucking it up with large receiver Jalin Hyatt.
“I noticed that this morning. (Laura Younger) confirmed it to me and that was a reasonably large hit. So one, he’s robust. He received proper again up,” head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters on Sunday. “And two, the clip that she confirmed me. . . He’s not a giant smile man. He’s fairly severe. I feel that’s the most important smile I’ve ever seen him have since I’ve met him.”
One reporter even advised that Wellman could have loved the hit greater than the rest he’s carried out for the Giants.
“He may need,” Daboll joked. “He may need.”
Wellman is in his second sting with the Giants group. He beforehand served as their energy and conditioning coach from 2016 via 2019.
