The ethical dilemma is further compounded by Australia’s travel advisory, which currently lists Bangladesh as a “do-not travel” zone. Healy further stated that, “They need everyone they can get in there helping people that are dying. It feels wrong to be taking resources away from that.”
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is under pressure to find a new host. The United Arab Emirates and Zimbabwe are seen as frontrunners, while India has officially declined. Australia, despite its ideal climate, is considered unsuitable due to short preparation time.
