Gilbert Arenas has shared a hilarious reminiscence of trash-talking a younger Dwyane Wade and instantly regretting it.
Arenas informed the story on a latest episode of The OGs podcast.
“Starting of the season began, we’re coming into the 04-05 season,” Arenas mentioned. “Everyone’s speaking in regards to the Warmth. You already know, Shaq went over there. And I used to be like, ‘Oh yeah, we’ll simply deal with D-Wade like they did within the Olympics, simply play a zone.’ Didn’t suppose nothin’ of it. You understand how you’re wanting on the scoreboards (after the sport)? Like, we received three video games, like 40 (factors), 45. Did he circle the date? ‘Trigger the way in which he’s coming in direction of us…

Arenas isn’t kidding when he says Wade destroyed the Wizards that season.
When the Warmth met the Wizards within the second spherical of the 2005 playoffs, Wade completed the collection with averages of 31 factors, seven rebounds and eight assists per recreation as Miami swept Washington.
The Warmth then misplaced the Jap Convention Finals to the Pistons that season, however Wade led them to the championship the next 12 months.
