Laces BC (3-0) continues its undefeated season after tying up the Vinyl BC (2-1) 82-79 in a win on Friday night.
Jackie Young missed another game from her left knee injury, but that didn’t stop the Laces from having the lead for all but nine seconds with another offensive showcase that featured all five players scoring double figures.
Similarly to the Phantom BC ending right before, a late run by Vinyl made the game tight, but guard Kayla McBride stylishly shut the door with her game-winning
The Vinyl and Laces were missing star players Alyssa Thomas and Rhyne Howard for most of the final period after a collision while chasing a loose ball.
In a game that finished as close as it did, free throws seemed to be the determining factor, with the Laces making three more shots at the charity stripe on four more attempts than Vinyl.
Both of these teams will have the luxury of an extra day of rest for each of their respective games on Monday.
