Before I dive into the matchups, I wanna give a shoutout to Josh for reaching out to provide football insight for 9450 Media. Yes, I said football and not NFL because I’ll be doing my best to touch on everything football related as much as I can but we can get into more details at a later date. I’m just getting my feet wet again so let me quickly shake of the cobwebs.
AFC Championship – The Heavyweight Matchup
I like getting straight to the point. I like to leave the heavy analysis, stats and numbers to the big dogs because they do a very good job at what they do. Not saying I won’t include them when need be but it really won’t be a “big” part of my articles. What I like to provide is my point of view on how I see a game unfolding because I believe in my football acumen, and I have two eyes that have yet to deceive me. So let’s get to it.
We witnessed a great matchup between Mahomes and Allen last week weekend. Easily the best game in the divisional round. Seeing they’ve already matched a few times previously (regular season and playoffs), the football world wanted to see if Allen could finally slay the dragon at the crib, but unfortunately, came up short once again.
Now we have the Don Dada of matchups, in my opinion, the Super Bowl before Super Bowl (no offense to the Niners and Lions) but this is the matchup every football fan is waiting to see unfold. Mahomes vs Lamar, best team in the NFL vs the potential dynasty that is Coach Reid, Mahomes and the Chiefs. The Ravens didn’t start the season too hot but once they started to figure it out and everything was gelling, week in and week out, they definitely put the league on notice with big wins against the Eagles and Niners. On the other hand, this has been the “worst” KC team during Mahomes tenure and look where they are? Right back in the AFC championship. With Kelce having an up and down season and the team having a league high in dropped passes, as long as 15 is back there, he gives them a chance and a very good one at that.
The talk as always been about Lamar not being able to produce in the playoffs, his style of play doesn’t translate into winning playoffs game and so forth and so on. He’s put all that talk to bed so far and the nail in the coffin would be to reach the Super Bowl by beating the man that has had the AFC in a chokehold for the last 6 years.
For Betting Purposes – Hectic Plays
As an avid sports gambler, who would I be to not provide you with my plays for the games? I’m no professional capper or anything of those sorts, I’m just a guy that enjoys betting and I do it quite often. I post all my slips on my IG (@realhecticslammer) but here are my favourite ones for this afternoon. Bet these as you wish, parlay or singles but do it in the name of fun. BOL.
