The Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Indiana Fever 100-91 on Tuesday, snapping Indiana’s five-game winning streak in front of an energetic home crowd.
With star rookie Caitlin Clark sidelined due to a groin injury, the Sparks wasted no time taking control. L.A. surged ahead early, eventually building a lead that ballooned to 22 points by the third quarter.
The Sparks dominated the paint, outscoring Indiana 48-36 inside, while also matching season highs with 13 made three-pointers and 7 blocked shots.
Indiana showed signs of life in the fourth, trimming the deficit to just six points, but the Sparks stayed poised and held off the rally.
